Boliden is committed to long-term sustainable development and aims to be a responsible, sustainable link in the metals value chain. We seek business partners whose ethical, social, and environmental standards align with our own Business Partner Code of Conduct.
Business Partner Code of Conduct
Boliden evaluates all business partners based on both commercial and sustainability criteria. The assessment is guided by internationally recognised principles and frameworks for responsible business conduct, including the United Nations Global Compact's Ten Principles, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct, the ILO Core Conventions, and relevant ISO standards.
Our Code of Conduct defines the principles for responsible business and sets the minimum standards we expect. These requirements apply to every commercial relationship, whether Boliden is buying or selling raw materials, products, or services.
Digital training
At Boliden, we expect everyone working at our sites to contribute to a safe, healthy, and ethical work environment. To support this, we offer a digital training – Boliden’s guide to good ethics – which provides an introduction to our safety practices, standards, and ways of working. The training helps ensure that all work is carried out responsibly, securely, and in line with our expectations.
This training is mandatory for contractors working at Boliden’s operations and sites. Contractors performing work at our facilities are expected to complete the training as part of their engagement with us. It is not mandatory for other suppliers or business partners.
