Smelters
Boliden Rönnskär is one of the world’s most efficient copper smelters and a global leader in electronics recycling. Here, advanced metal production and recycling are carried out with a strong focus on safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainability. As a summer worker, you will have the opportunity to work in various parts of the operation. Examples of departments include production, transportation, maintenance, environment, laboratory, and administration.

Mines
Boliden Garpenberg is one of the world’s most modern underground mines, producing zinc, copper, lead, silver, and gold. As a summer worker, you can work both above and below ground in roles such as planner, mine service worker, industrial technician, warehouse assistant, miner, mechanic, electrician, geologist, core driller, process operator, or laboratory assistant.

Mines
The Boliden area comprises several mines and facilities, Kristineberg, Kankberg, Renström, Maurliden, the Concentrator, as well as the office in Boliden. Here, mining of complex ore and advanced metal production is carried out with a focus on safety and sustainability. As a summer worker in Boliden Area you can work in roles as control room operator, warehouse worker, haulage operator, miner, mine builder, geologist, mine surveyor, process operator, laboratory technician, and environmental sampler.

IT & Digital Solutions
Boliden Stab is located in Boliden and serves as a central support for mining operations. Here, we work with specialist expertise that contributes to exploration, environmental work, land issues, and technical development. As a summer worker, you can work in roles as core drilling technician, forest and land coordinator, and geologist.

Smelters
Boliden Harjavalta refines copper and nickel to meet the needs of renewable energy production, the green transition, and modern society. The company employs a total of 590 professionals in various fields in Harjavalta and Pori. Our copper smelter and copper electrolysis are the only ones in Finland, and our nickel smelter is the only one in all of Western Europe. With the energy-efficient technology developed at the Harjavalta smelter, nearly half of the world’s copper is produced. As a summer worker at Boliden Harjavalta, you can work in production or maintenance, as well as in business support functions such as laboratory, purchasing, warehouse, IT, HR, and finance.

Boliden Kokkola is a world-class zinc plant that produces high-quality zinc products for the needs of renewable energy production, the green transition, and modern society. As a summer worker at Boliden Kokkola, you can work in production or maintenance, as well as in business support functions such as laboratory, purchasing, warehouse, IT, and finance.

Mines
Boliden Kevitsa is a multimetal mine operating in Sodankylä, Northern Finland and it is a major employer in the region. Our main products are nickel and copper concentrates. Concentrates also include cobalt, platinum, palladium, and gold. The ore concentrates are supplied to our own smelting plants in Harjavalta. We work systematically to minimize our environmental impact, increase energy effiency and preserve biodiversity. We improve productivity and safety by investing in automation, electrification, and remote control. As a summer employee, you can work in positions such as driver, driller, warehouse worker, process operator, metallurgist, laboratory technician, fitter, supervisor, engineer in various departments, property maintenance worker, geologist, or IT support person.
