Boliden Kokkola is committed to producing zinc in a safe and responsible way throughout the entire production chain. Central success factors for the company are personnel welfare and environmental issues.
Environment and quality
Boliden Kokkola’s goal is to continuously improve its environmental performance, which also entails a continuous reduction in specific energy consumption. The environmental performance is improved by using the best available techniques and developing own work methodologies.
All the zinc plant’s operations are certified in accordance with the Quality System ISO 9001:2000 and the Environmental System ISO 14001.
Health
and Safety
Boliden Kokkola’s strength lies in its highly skilled and motivated personnel, whose wellbeing is of the utmost importance to the company.
The company’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System is certified in accordance with OHSAS 18001.
