Concentrate is the main source of raw material to our smelters, and the choice of supplier affects our profitability as well as our sustainability work. Our ambition is to be a world-class business partner, and through cooperation and dialogue we work alongside with our business partners to achieve improvements and minimize risks for both parts.

The metal concentrates are bought from our own mines and from around 20 external suppliers, mainly mines in Europe as well as South and North America. Besides concentrates, some intermediate and secondary materials are also used in the production process. Electronic – and metal scrap is one example of the secondary raw material we buy.
