New gold mine in Kankberg
Boliden is investing SEK 475 million in starting up the Kankberg mine to extract gold and tellurium. Kankberg is located in the Boliden Area and is Boliden's fifth gold mine with an expected life of mine until 2020. Read more
Expansion of Garpenberg
A major expansion of operations at Garpenberg is carried out. A total of SEK 3.9 billion is invested to increase the ore production from the current level of 1.4 million tonnes to 2.5 million tonnes per annum. Read more
The Aitik expansion
The new facilities that will double Aitik's yearly ore production to 36 million tonnes, and increase copper production by 50 per cent by 2014, were inaugurated in 2010. The successive ramping up of production began in 2010 and will continue until it reaches full capacity. Read more
