Boliden endeavours to create a working environment characterised by respect for and trust in its employees.
As an employer, we want to offer developmental and responsible duties in a safe work environment in which every employee feels appreciated as an individual.
We want healthy, committed employees and we are actively involved in promoting and supporting a healthy lifestyle. We consider it our responsibility to offer good opportunities for individuals to establish a healthy work-life balance.
We also believe it is important to offer opportunities for social activities outside the workplace that appeal to such varied interests as sport, hunting, music and culture.

The name Garpenberg dates back from the early 1300s, when Bishop Israel Erlandsson Angel, who owned copper mine, hired German miners in the operation. These were called Garpar, hence the name Garpeberget, later Garpenberg.
